Yesterday was the book launch for acclaimed author Sarah Pinborough’s latest book, Poison.  The book is an adult re-telling of the popular Snow White fairy tale, and I reviewed it recently over at my husband’s book review site, The Eloquent Page.

Sarah asked me if I would make some apple cookies to give to guests at the launch, and I was happy to oblige. Here are some pics of the cookies.

I think that everyone enjoyed them, and I loved seeing the delighted expression on people’s faces. My greatest pleasure was when Sarah first spotted them. I think she had been expecting just a box of cookies. The fact they were packed individually for presentation was a surprise for her, and one I enjoyed giving. I love it when I exceed people’s expectations.
