Cornbread Stuffing
Cornbread Stuffing
Ingredients
- 300g Cornbread (broken into large crumbs)
- 500g Sausage Meat
- 25g Unsalted Butter
- 1 Large Onion (finely diced)
- 1 Medium Dessert Apple (finely diced)
- 100g Cooked Chestnuts (finely chopped)
- 2 sprigs Sage (finely chopped)
- 2 sprigs Thyme (leaves only)
- Salt and Pepper
Directions
1. | Fry the onions in the butter until softened. Add the apple, and cook for a further few minutes then set aside to cool |
2. | In a large bowl, add the cornbread crumbs, chestnuts, sausage meat, herbs |
3. | Add in the softened onion and apple. Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly |
4. | Press into a loaf tin and bake for 30-40 minutes |
