Vanilla Whole Bean Paste

Ingredients

  • 6 Whole Vanilla Bean
  • 60g Caster Sugar
  • 60ml Water

Directions

1. Chop off the hard ends at the tips of each pod. Place the pods into a blender and chop until you have a puree
2. Meanwhile, put the sugar and water into a sauce pan. Heat gently until the sugar dissolves fully, then turn the heat up slightly
3. Allow the sugar syrup to simmer and thicken. The thicker you get your syrup, the thicker your paste will be
4. Set aside the sugar syrup to cool, then add the puree. Store in sterilised jars
