Vanilla Whole Bean Paste
Ingredients
- 6 Whole Vanilla Bean
- 60g Caster Sugar
- 60ml Water
Directions
1. | Chop off the hard ends at the tips of each pod. Place the pods into a blender and chop until you have a puree |
2. | Meanwhile, put the sugar and water into a sauce pan. Heat gently until the sugar dissolves fully, then turn the heat up slightly |
3. | Allow the sugar syrup to simmer and thicken. The thicker you get your syrup, the thicker your paste will be |
4. | Set aside the sugar syrup to cool, then add the puree. Store in sterilised jars |
