Belgium Waffles
Belgium Waffles
Ingredients
- 120ml Warm Water
- 1 tablespoon Granulated Sugar
- 2¼ teaspoons Instant Yeast
- 480ml Milk
- 110g Unsalted Butter (melted)
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 250g Plain Flour
- 2 Large Free-range Eggs (lightly beaten)
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- ¼ teaspoon Baking Powder
Directions
1. | The night before, or at least 8 hours before required, combine the warm water with the sugar, and add the yeast |
2. | Allow the yeast to bloom for 10 minutes |
3. | Stir in the warmed milk, melted butter and salt |
4. | Add in the flour and mix until smooth |
5. | Cover top of bowl in cling film and leave in refrigerator over night, or on the counter top for 6-8 hours |
6. | Pre-heat your waffle iron |
7. | While the waffle iron is heating, add in the eggs, baking powder and vanilla extract and mix through |
8. | Use the measured scoop and pour into waffle iron and bake as per manufacturers instructions |
9. | Repeat with remaining batter, keeping made waffles warm in a low oven |
