Hasselback Potatoes
Hasselback Potatoes
Ingredients
- 450g New Potatoes
- 40g Unsalted Butter
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 2 heaped tablespoons Finely Grated Pecorino Romano Cheese
Directions
1. | Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 7 / 220°C / 425°F |
2. | Using a sharp knife, thinly slice the potatoes but not all the way through |
3. | Place them on a baking tray cut side up and brush with the melted butter and season with salt and pepper |
4. | Bake for 35 minutes, then sprinkle with the cheese and a little more salt, then return to the oven for an additional 20 minutes until golden brown and crisp |
Note
A great alternative to salt is Lawry's Seasoned Salt if you can get it.
