So… yeah. Remember when in September I made a bold statement saying I am back? Due to unforeseen circumstances like illness (the builders), and supply problems (insulation factory burning down) etc., things took a while longer than planned.

However, stage 1 is now complete. We have the shell built, wired, plumbed and plastered. We have a delivery date for the kitchen (end of May), so I should be able to start using the new kitchen/diner in June.

I have been working out of the matchbox-sized existing kitchen, which will become a utility room, but it’s so small, it is extremely difficult to get a decent photograph of completed dishes (and I hate publishing without one), and also, I simply don’t have the space to make large quantities of anything.

I have the pleasure of counting some authors among my friends, and in the past, I have made cookies for them as a promotional items to give away at book launches. As I am not a registered business, I charged for costs and packaging only. However, once the kitchen has been installed, I intend to get the kitchen registered and the doors (figuratively, not literally) will be open to provide cookies, or fudge or any other sweet treat you may wish to give away at your event.
